Ingredients :
- Guava (अमरूद/पेरू) 2 small
- Oil (तेल) 2 Tb-sp
- Mustard seeds(राई/मोहरी) 1 Tsp
- Cumin seeds (जीरा) 1 Tsp
- Fenugreek seeds (मेथी दाना) 1 Tsp
- Turmeric powder (हल्दी/हळद) 1/2 Tsp
- Red Chilly powder (लाल मीर्च/तिखट) 1 Tsp
- Garam masala powder (गरम मसाला) 1/2 Tsp
- Jaggery (गुड़/गूळ) 2 Tb-sp [ Substitute - Sugar ]
- Salt (नमक/मीठ) 1 Tsp
- Water (पानी/पाणी) 1/4 Cup
- Guava (अमरूद/पेरू) 2 small

- Salt (नमक/मीठ) 1 Tsp
- Water (पानी/पाणी) 1/4 Cup
Preparation :
- Chop the Guava into small pieces or cubes, set aside.
- Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat.

Micro Steps :
Step 1 : Chop the Guava into small cubes.
Step 2 : Add turmeric powder.
Step 3 :Add red chilly powder.
Step 4 :Add garam masala. Mix it all together.
Step 5 :Heat the pan on a medium flame and add oil.
Step 6 :When oil is hot add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
Step 7 :Add cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds.
Step 8 :Now add the Guava mixture in the pan and saute.
Step 9 :Add salt and jaggery mix it well.
Step 10 :Add a little water and cook it covered for next 5 minutes on low flame.
Step 11 : Turn off the heat. It should be with the gravy of the jaggery that we added and the kitchen must be filled by its aroma by now :)
Methamba/ Guava chatny is ready. Enjoy with chapatis/phulkas/parathas.
Methamba can be stored in an airtight mason jar for a week at room temperature.
